Transfer Talk: Joe Cole to Liverpool

It makes me sad to see him go. Especially so far away. I would have preferred he stay in the city, but I suppose that would make me a bit perturbed as well. So basically he shouldn't have been forced to leave Chelsea. We'll miss you, mate.

Especially your short shorts...

David Silva Signs with Manchester City

I'm thinking this is going to be like the Robinho signing. In two months he's going to be like, "What the f**k was I thinking?"

You won't be giving that thumbs up much longer, mate.

Robinho Prays for Manchester Exit

Apparently he wants out... badly. His dad might hook him up with a transfer to Barcelona. (And let me just reiterate the word MIGHT. My guess, is that this isn't actually going to happen.)

Chelsea Sign Nemanja Matic

He's 21 and from Serbia. Not bad looking either. Well done Kenyon and Abramovich.

Xabi Gives Thumbs Up to Real Madrid

Must admit I'm not the biggest Xabi fan, well besides the fact that he's good looking. But how are Liverpool fans holding up? This is quite a blow.

Finally the pointless drama is over.

Malouda and Mikel Sign New Deals with Chelsea

This has me feeling very happy.

Emmanuel Adebayor Signs for Man City

And I'm sure it wasn't just for the money either. He wants to win trophies. So obviously he'd sign for Manchester City and not, oh I don't know, a team that actually wins trophies...???

Gerrard Signs New Liverpool Contract

The 29-year-old Liverpool captain and icon signed a £25million four-year contract to keep him at the club until 2013. Although the deal was agreed upon back in April, the contract wasn't signed until Stevie G returned back to training after summer break.

Michael Owen Signs for Manchester United

...Huh? Wasn't expecting that one.

He arrived in a fancy BMW...

Signed a fancy contract...

Then waved a scarf around a bit.

Good for him. He should do well next to Rooney. Hopefully.

Kaka Passes Medical, Signs 6 Year Deal with Real Madrid

Oh yeah, and it's the second largest transfer fee ever! (Some say it's the most expensive, so I don't know who to believe.) AC Milan and Real Madrid came to an agreement at a whopping £56 million. That's just insanity.

Chelsea Signing News

Malouda and Ballack have penned new deals with the club. And with a run of good form, Alex looks to be on the list to sign a new contract before the start of next season.

Oh yeah, and we signed Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City. (I was wrong, we haven't...yet. Stupid papers. Don't ever believe anything you read.)

January Transfer Rumors: Annoying Rubbish

To my devoted readers and fans:

It's January 2nd and I'm sick of the bullshit rumors already. I won't tolerate it any longer.

As of today, it is my solemn oath, to not post ANY transfer rumors. Because everyone knows they are annoying and obnoxious loads of rubbish. (Like, Wayne Bridge for instance. LOAD...OF...RUBBISH.) I will, as a sophisticated football blogger, (yes I know I'm using that definition loosely, but give me some credit) promise to only post transfers as they are confirmed by both clubs involved. Trust me, it's better this way. (And you all won't hate me in a couple weeks when I've sent you into a transfer window induced coma of boredom, false information, and mundane updates.)

You're welcome.

Always yours,
Blair at MRWF

Transfer Talk: Van der Vaart Not Interested in Spurs

rafael van der vaart SPURS

After a solid performance in EURO 2008, Rafael van der Vaart attracted the interest of many Premier League clubs, but when he spoke about Tottenham he had some harsh words to purvey:

“Tottenham are not a club I want to swap Hamburg for.”

Ouch! It’s nice to see a man who tells it how it is.

I personally believe that VDV should head to a different London club. But as everyone knows, I am undoubtedly biased. The watch above would already make him a friend with Frank "The Watch Man" Lampard.

C-Ron Limps Home

cristiano on crutches

Not even an operation on his right ankle could deter Real Madrid from pursuing the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. It will be a minimum of six weeks before C-Ron is fit for action after the player went under the knife in Amsterdam yesterday.

At this point I think C-Ron could have a serious bed-wetting issue and Real Madrid would still want to buy him.

Transfer Talk: Frank Lampard Looking Suspicious in Italy

elen and frank in italy

Frank Lampard is in Italy on holiday, but there is much speculation that he is there instead to sign a deal with Inter Milan. SkySports in Italy stalked him down in an alley and asked him a few questions. He shot them a smile in his dodgy Capri pants and oversized sunglasses and laughed off their advances. But he was nice enough to give them this little snippet:

"Inter? Let's wait and see. For the moment I am here on holiday with my family. My future at Chelsea? I don't know anything yet. Italy is a beautiful country but I am not due to meet anyone here."

With his fiancé Elen by his side and the company of his two daughters, Luna and Isla, Lampard was focusing on being with them rather than the impending contract talks once he returns to London.

Note: Elen’s sunglasses in the picture above look like she may have stole them from my grandmother’s nightstand. Not cool.

Transfer Talk: Chelsea Sign a Different Jose

jose bosingwa

Jose Bosingwa has completed his transfer from FC Porto to Chelsea today with the agreement of personal details and passing of a medical. Whether the rising Portuguese star is worth his £16.2 million fee, we will have to watch the EURO 2008 competition to get a closer look.

In my opinion, Chelsea have signed a real uggo. The unibrow must go. Maybe we can counter the uggo with a real beaut. Rafael van der Vaart, perhaps? Nummy!
