Babel Begs For Ajax Return

After being disappointed with his lack of first team play, Ryan Babel attempted to engineer a loan move back to Ajax. He spoke to Ajax himself and ran the idea of him joining them on loan and the reaction was enthusiastic. But when he brought the idea to Liverpool they were not so fond of the idea. In other words, Rafa Benitez gave a big ol’ "NAY NAY" to the thought of Babel going anywhere. (Because god forbid he’d get off the bench.) He’s had a total of 17 appearances this season, in all competitions, most of them as substitutions. You go boy! You are so much better than this!

Fernando Torres Out Until New Year

Although originally predicted to be out for only a couple of weeks, Fernando Torres is facing a month on the sidelines, as suggested by a Spanish specialist (say that ten times fast), while he thoroughly rests a hamstring injury picked up in the Champions League match against Marseille. Of course, Rafa is blaming the Spanish National team and their training procedures. Surprise, surprise.
