Scolari Sacked, But I Have a Theory...

I realize this is late news, but Scolari’s been sacked. There are stages I’ve been going through throughout the day. It began with shock then moved to anger, then sadness. Now I seem to be coming to grips with the whole thing. And I’ve realized something that may be able to help Chelsea in selecting a new manager.
If you look at all the managers of the #1 placed clubs in Europe, they are all bloody attractive (some more than others).

Jesualdo Ferreira (FC Porto) – He’s got the machismo thing going for him.

Ralf Rangnick (Hoffenheim) – The glasses make him smart cute.

Claude Puel (Lyon) – Doesn’t just wear trackies in the technical area kind of formally cute.

Jose Mourinho (Internazionale) – Past loves just don’t fade. He’s good looking, we all know it.

Josep Guardiola (FC Barcelona) – Duh…

So Chelsea needs to find an attractive manager. I think it's a pretty good theory. Any thoughts?

Chelsea v Stoke City: Are They Back?

So when Delap scored, I was gutted. We haven't been the best at bringing ourselves back up once we're down. Then Belletti put a header in on 87' and Super Frank blasted one in on 90'. Ok, so Ballack may have deflected Lampsy's goal, but seriously it was amazing and I was thrilled. But is this a sign of a turn around, or just one more up with a down on the horizon in this season thus for for Chelsea. One can only hope that this is a turning point. (Yes, I am that one.)

Plus I love the teams embrace with Scolari after the winning goal. It was definitely a sign of the respect that the team has for the gaffer. Unlike that of what is being reported in the media. So pppllllhhh.

Scolari Holds Team Meeting

Upon the return of the first team to training at Cobham, Luis Felipe Scolari scheduled a team meeting in response the Chelsea's inconsistency in form. Held at the training ground's auditorium, usually used for press conferences, the team was told to air their grievances and leave them in the room before heading out onto the pitch. Although some tabloids are reporting of some discomfort in the squad, mostly directed towards Didier Drogba, Scolari seemed pleased with the results of the meeting.

"Before we went to training, we had a good team meeting," said Scolari. "Since Sunday I have had the chance to watch again the Fulham game and yesterday, with my players, we talked about all of that game before going out for a good training session. Now we begin to look ahead to my first FA Cup game, against Southend, a game we must be ready for, as if we are playing a team in first, second or third position in the Premier League."

Monday Mmmmmm: Deco's Tat

deco, scolari, terry 2
I realize this isn't a new picture. But after Deco's AMAZING performance with the Blues this weekend, I had to celebrate.

I find his tattoo incredibly intriguing. (And he and JT have lovely calves as well.)

Looking Like Lampsy Might Stick Around

frank in training

After receiving a fax from Inter Milan with a bid for Frank Lampard, (a pathetic, cowardly way of dealing with your former club Mr. Mourinho) Chelsea informed Internazionale that they “will not enter into any discussions regarding the transfer of Frank Lampard.” SO THERE!

New manager, Scolari, in his first press conference for the club, stated that in just a few minutes of conversation with Lampsy he had this to conclude:

"I spoke to him that I like him much as a player and as a person and I ask him if he wants to stay at Chelsea, not only for this season but for more time. After 15 minutes, he said to me he wants to stay and play for Chelsea for many years. I think Chelsea needs Lampard. I think Lampard is with us more time than one year."

Duh!

Note: Lampsy's calves looked absolutely delectable at training this morning.
