Man City Bust-Up Part Deux: Adebayor vs. Toure

It was only a few weeks ago that Balotelli and Boateng had an "altercation" on the training ground. Now the former Arsenal players, Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure have needed to be split up during training. Coincidentally enough, Patrick Vieira, another former Arsenal player, was pictured attempting to calm Adebayor down.

Just handshakes this time, though. No hug.

Except from Joe Hart. We're seriously jealous okay with that.

Togo Team Tragedy in Cabinda

While Togo's team bus traveled through the northern region of Angola known as Cabinda, enroute to their headquarters for the African Cup of Nations tournament, a separatist group attacked the bus and fired upon them. Three men were killed in the attack. The victims include the bus driver, the team's press officer, Stanislas Ocloo, and team's assistant coach, Amalete Abalo. Eight others were injured. Seriously injured reserve goalkeeper, Kodjovi Obilale, was flown to Johannesburg, South Africa to undergo surgery. He is now in stable condition and recovering well.

Team captain, Emmanuel Adebayor, who escaped unscathed, looked visibly shaken and emotional in front of cameras.

The northern part of Angola is a very volatile region, and is set to host something like eight matches during the tournament, including a quarter-final.

The team has dropped out of the African Cup of Nations Tournament and remains in Togo for the time being. Two men have now been arrested in coordination with the attack.

Emmanuel Adebayor Signs for Man City

And I'm sure it wasn't just for the money either. He wants to win trophies. So obviously he'd sign for Manchester City and not, oh I don't know, a team that actually wins trophies...???

Adebayor and Kalou Win African Gongs

Emmanuel Adebayor won the Confederation of African Football's Player of the Year yesterday. The Arsenal and Togo striker had this to say about it:

"I'm highly honoured by what I have done in African football. Now that the World Cup is coming close and is in Africa, we'll work hard to win the championship."

Salomon Kalou, Chelsea and Ivory Coast winger, won the confederation's Young Player of the Year.

Adebayor’s Tacky Automobile Interior

"Who's driving in that awesome car?"
"Well it has Adebayor and the #25 on the seats."
"Thanks captain obvious."

I’ve never been a big fan of personalizing your automobile. It’s too temporary a fixture to warrant plastering your name or monogram all over it. But it’s something footballers just do. The Beckhams have it in all of their cars and I think John Terry has name and number embroidered on the seats of one of his cars (but don’t hold me to that). I have no mercy for Adebayor though; he has no excuse for being tacky. Maybe because he isn't nearly as attractive as John Terry or David Beckham. (Oh, and he plays for Arsenal.) But that’s just me.

Arsenal Boys Know How to Dance

This is a video of Emmanuel Adebayor, Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure dancing in front of a crowd of Arsenal fans in the Arsenal carpark. Must admit, they have some decent moves.
