Bayern Fans Get Free Beer

After their worst start to a season in 43 years, Bayern Munich, in coordination with a local brewery sponsor, provided 7,000 litres of beer for free to fans before the match against Mainz. Unfortunately they lost 1-2. But I'm sure the blow was lightened by that free pint before the match. (Not so much.)

One of These Things is Not Like the Others...Part Deux

Mr. Rensig, uncross those legs. This isn't etiquette class and you look like a friggin' poofer fairy YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

UPDATE: Realize now that this may have been a bit insensitive. I just thought it was humorous that he was the only one on the bench without his legs spread wide apart. Don't think I don't love gay men. And I say the more gay footballers the better. At least they can dress properly. (Was that stereotyping? Damn. I'm no good at this being "politically correct" nonsense. Forgive me...again.)

Bored to Tears: Ribery and Toni

What in god's name are they talking about? Has Ribery been watching too much Grey's Anatomy? Is he scrubbing in? Luca looks to be watching the skies, perhaps wondering why they haven't called off the game after they went up 4-1 (9-1 agg.) at halftime and when he'll get to return home and retreat from the cold.

But is that absurd head gear really necessary, Luca? I mean I know Germany is cold, but I wasn't thinking like, Arctic Circle type temperatures. Ponder this: why wear a hat so warm and cozy and ridiculous looking, while not bringing a sodding pair of gloves?

Frank Ribery Hijacks Team Coach

Frank Ribery decided that it would be a good time to take the Bayern munich team coach for a little spin around their hotel in Dubai, with the entire team aboard. Bad idea...

After damaaging two signs, hitting a few curbs, and losing most of his dignity, Ribery was told to pull over and immediately step away slowly from the wheel.

P.S. Driving coaches requires extra training. Seriously.

Bayern Munich Go To Circus Krone for X-Mas Party

Luca Toni had axes thrown at him, including one right between the legs. Apparently he didn’t really know what was going on, so I can imagine his alarm when an axe was hurtled near his private region.

Family and WAGs were in attendance, along with 500 other children in coordination with BILD's Ein Herz fuer Kinder children's charity. But I’m not sure if the manager got the memo. He was toting a whip at one point during the festivities. (How kinky of you, Mr. Klinsman?)

Podolski Leaving Bayern in January

podolski at bayern

Lukas Podolski has requested to depart with his current club, Bayern Munich, once the January transfer window arrives. The 23-year-old is looking like a hot commodity and is going to be on the wanted list of many Premier League clubs, Manchester City obviously being one of them. Real Madrid has also expressed interest in the German international. His deliciousness would be welcomed in England I think.
